The Size – Finally A Phone That Fits In My Pocket
Okay so most phones these days are huge. Like you need two hands just to reply to a text. You put it in your pocket and half the phone is sticking out. It’s ridiculous.
The OnePlus 15T has a 6.32 inch screen. That’s small by today’s standards. But here’s the thing – it doesn’t FEEL small when you’re using it. It feels just right.
I held one. Well I didn’t actually hold one because it’s not in my country yet. But I read about it. A lot. And everyone says the same thing. It fits in your hand. You can use it with one thumb. Your pinky doesn’t get tired holding it from the bottom.
Remember when phones used to be like that? Yeah. OnePlus brought that back.
And the bezels? Almost nothing. Symmetrical on all four sides. 1.1mm they say. I don’t know what that means exactly but I know it looks clean. No big chin at the bottom. No giant forehead at the top. Just screen. Beautiful screen.
The screen itself is 1.5K AMOLED. 165Hz refresh rate. That’s even higher than the RedMagic one. 165 times per second bro. Your eyes can’t even see that many frames but somehow you FEEL it. Scrolling is like gliding on ice. But in a good way.
The Battery – This Is Where It Gets Crazy
Now listen. This is the part that broke my brain.
A 7500 mAh battery. Inside a SMALL phone.
You understand what I’m saying right? Usually small phone = small battery. That’s just physics. Less space inside. But OnePlus did some magic. They used this new Silicon-Carbon battery technology. Basically the battery is smaller physically but holds more juice.

I had to read that like five times when I first saw it. I thought it was a typo. How can a 6.3 inch phone have the same battery as the RedMagic? That thing is massive. This is tiny.
But apparently it’s real.
One review said they did a 5 hour heavy usage test. Games. Videos. Social media. Camera. Everything. After 5 hours? 81% left. EIGHTY ONE PERCENT. That means you could probably use this phone for two full days without charging. Maybe three if you’re not a heavy user.
Let me put it this way. Your current phone? You charge it every night. This phone? You charge it every OTHER night. Or every two nights. You forget what a charger looks like.
And when you DO need to charge? 100W wired. 50W wireless.
100W wired means from dead to full in maybe 30 minutes. Not even. Probably less. You plug it in, go make a sandwich, come back, phone is done.
50W wireless is also crazy because most phones do like 15W wireless if you’re lucky. 50W is faster than some phones charge WITH a wire.
Oh and there’s this thing called bypass charging. Basically when you’re gaming and plugged in, the power goes straight to the phone instead of going into the battery first. Why does that matter? Because batteries get hot when they charge. And heat is bad for performance. So bypass charging keeps your phone cool while you play AND keeps your battery healthy longer. Smart.
The Performance – Same Chip As The Big Boys
Inside is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. Same as the RedMagic. Same as all the big flagship phones.
You know what that means. It’s fast. Really fast.
On AnTuTu (that benchmark thing that nerds care about), the OnePlus 15T scored 4.16 million points. That’s number TWO in the world. Second place. Behind only the iQOO 15 Ultra. Ahead of the RedMagic 11 Pro Plus actually.
So yeah. It’s fast.
But here’s the thing about small phones. They usually get hot faster because there’s less space for the heat to go. Less room for cooling stuff. So even if they have the same chip, they can’t run it as hard for as long.
The OnePlus 15T has this thing called the Wind Chaser Gaming kernel. Sounds like a Dragon Ball Z move but apparently it’s real. It helps manage heat and performance. One review said in stress tests the performance dropped by like 50% after a while though. So it DOES get hot eventually. You can’t cheat physics completely.
But for normal gaming? Like an hour of PUBG or COD? You won’t notice anything. It’ll be smooth. It’ll be fast. It’ll be fine.

The Cameras – Good But Not Great
Okay let me be real. Small phones always have camera compromises. There’s just less space for big camera sensors. That’s how it is.
The OnePlus 15T has two 50MP cameras on the back. One main. One telephoto with 3.5x optical zoom. No ultra-wide. That’s weird. Most phones have ultra-wide these days. OnePlus said nah. We’re doing zoom instead.
The main camera uses a Sony LYT-700C sensor. It’s 1/1.56 inch. That’s… medium sized. Not huge like the big flagship phones. Not tiny either. Somewhere in the middle.
In daylight? Photos look good. Really good actually. One review compared it to the Samsung Galaxy S26 and said the OnePlus actually looked better in some shots. More detail. Better colors. Samsung needs to step up their game apparently.
At night? It’s okay. Not amazing. You’ll get usable photos but don’t expect Pixel magic. The sensor is just too small to capture enough light in dark situations.
The telephoto lens is 3.5x zoom. That’s actually better than most phones which do 3x or even 2x. You can zoom in pretty far before things get blurry. OnePlus says 7x lossless zoom which means up to 7 times it still looks sharp.
There’s no Hasselblad this time. That partnership is now just for Oppo phones. So OnePlus is using their own thing called LUMO imaging engine. Sounds made up but the sample photos I saw look fine. Nothing to complain about.
Selfie camera is 32MP. That’s better than the RedMagic’s 16MP. So if you take a lot of selfies, this is the better phone for you.
The Bad Stuff – Gotta Keep It Real
Okay. I promised honesty. Here we go.
First – the speakers aren’t great. One review measured them and said they lack bass. Like really lack bass. The highs are also a bit weak. And the overall volume is lower than most phones. Like 86% of phones tested were louder. That’s not good.
If you watch a lot of videos without headphones, you might be disappointed. It’s not terrible. You’ll hear things. But don’t expect amazing sound.
Second – no ultra-wide camera. That’s a weird choice. Most people use ultra-wide more than telephoto. Like taking group photos. Or landscape pictures. Or anything where you want to fit more in the frame. You can’t do that on this phone unless you physically step back. Annoying.

Fifth – price. Not confirmed yet but probably around $600-700. That’s not bad actually. For what you’re getting? That’s pretty good. The 13T launched at around $470. This one has more features so expect higher. But still cheaper than Samsung or Apple flagships.

The Water Resistance Thing – Actually Cool
Oh I almost forgot. This phone has IP68 and IP69K rating. IP68 means you can drop it in a pool and it’ll be fine. IP69K means you can spray it with hot high pressure water. Like from a pressure washer. That’s crazy. Most phones don’t have that. That’s like rugged phone territory.
So if you work outside or you’re clumsy with liquids, this phone is good for you.
Who Should Buy This

Buy this phone if:
- You are TIRED of big phones. Your hand hurts. Your pinky has a dent. You want something that fits.
- You want amazing battery life. Like actually insane battery life.
- You want flagship performance but don’t need the absolute best gaming experience.
- You take photos in daylight mostly. Not a night photographer.
- You live in a country where OnePlus actually sells this thing.
Don’t buy this phone if:
- You are a hardcore gamer who plays for hours. Get the RedMagic instead. It has a fan.
- You care about speaker quality. This one is weak in that department.
- You need an ultra-wide camera. This phone doesn’t have one.
- You take a lot of low light photos.
- The phone isn’t available in your country. Don’t jump through hoops importing stuff. It’s not worth the hassle.

Samsung makes small phones but they have small batteries. Apple makes small phones but they also have small batteries. OnePlus made a small phone with a MASSIVE battery.
