Google Pixel 10 Pro XL vs Samsung Galaxy S24:Which phone is Best in 2026?

July 19, 2026
smartphone comparison

i was use both these phones once ,now am here to share my experience.Remenber these information given to you after proper research and personal experiance.

The Pixel costs around ₨.310,000 . The S24 costs ₨.289,999 . That ₨.20,001 difference buys you a lot of denial.

Here’s the thing. The Pixel 10 Pro XL is the most technologically ambitious phone of 2026. The Galaxy S24 is the phone I’d actually recommend to a normal human being. Let me explain why.

Size, Weight, and the Daily Pocket Torment
The Pixel 10 Pro XL is a literal slab of concrete.

162.8mm tall. 76.6mm wide. 8.5mm thick. 232 grams.

The Galaxy S24? 147mm tall. 70.6mm wide. 7.6mm thick. 167 grams.

That’s a 65-gram difference. Hold them side-by-side. The S24 disappears in your hand. The Pixel announces itself every time you pick it up.

One-handed scrolling on TikTok with the Pixel? A balancing act. Filming an Instagram story while walking? Feel like some piece of soap . The S24 just works. It fits in a normal your hand. It fits in a normal your pocket..

Winner: S24. Not even close.

Gaming: The Tensor G5 Has a Problem
The Pixel 10 Pro XL uses Google’s Tensor G5 chip. Built on TSMC’s 3nm process. It doesn’t heat up like older Pixel phones.

But the gaming performance? A disaster.

Fortnite on Epic settings? The Pixel averaged 25-27 FPS. Hit 42.9°C. Stuttered constantly. PUBG Mobile ran okay at 60 FPS, but that’s a lightweight game. Warzone Mobile?

The Galaxy S24’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is built gaming machine. PUBG Mobile locks at 120 FPS. Call of Duty never lag. 3D Mark stress tests show 50% stability versus the Pixel’s 37%.

Here’s the catch for the S24. Its chassis is so small that it gets warm quick. The Snapdragon runs hot under heavy load. Samsung’s vapor chamber just isn’t big enough to cooldown all that heat. The phone doesn’t effect the CPU much, but it absolutely cooldown the display brightness to save itself.

The Pixel doesn’t effect brightness as aggressively. But it doesn’t need to. The game is already running at 25 FPS. You’ve already stopped playing.

Winner: S24 for raw speed. Pixel for… actually no, S24 wins.

RAM
The Pixel has 16GB RAM.

The S24 has 8GB RAM.

This is the one area where the Pixel absolutely dominates.

I edit 4K video in CapCut on the Pixel. I exit the app, shoot a video, check Twitter, scroll Instagram, and re-open CapCut. My project is still there. No reloading. No lost progress. It’s a lifesaver for heavy social media workflows.

The S24? 8GB RAM drops background tasks constantly. You’re editing a Reel, switch to Spotify to change a song, switch back, and CapCut has to reload everything. Your timeline is gone. Your un-saved edits are gone. Your patience is gone.
Winner: Pixel. Not even close.

Camera: Shutter Lag Drives Me Nuts
The Pixel 10 Pro XL has a 50MP main sensor (1/1.3″), 48MP ultrawide, and a 48MP 5x optical telephoto.

The S24 has a 50MP main (1/1.56″), 12MP ultrawide, and a 10MP 3x optical telephoto.

The Pixel’s hardware is superior. The 5x zoom captures detail the S24 can’t touch. The ultrawide shoots at 48MP versus the S24’s 12MP. The front camera is 42MP versus 12MP.

But here’s my problem.

The Pixel has shutter lag. Every single time I smash that shutter button, there’s a ~35ms pause before the photo captures. It’s a split-second. But it matters. Moving subjects? Kids? Pets? You miss the moment.

The S24 captures instantly. The shutter is responsive. No delay. The image might be slightly softer, but I actually got the shot.

And the Pixel’s camera app layout is insane. The mode bar is below the shutter button. The shutter button sits too high on the screen. Your muscle memory betrays you. The S24’s camera app just works.

The Pixel’s 5x telephoto also has a frustrating minimum focusing distance. Auto-focus won’t let you get close to subjects. You need to manually select the lens and set focus yourself. In 2026. On a ₨.310,000 phone.

Display: A Brightness Arms Race
Pixel: 6.8-inch LTPO OLED. 2992×1344 resolution. 3300 nits peak brightness.

Winner: S24 for speed. Pixel for pure optical quality.

S24: 6.2-inch Dynamic AMOLED. 2340×1080 resolution. 2600 nits peak brightness.

The Pixel’s screen is brighter and more impressive. It’s a fantastic display for media Quality. The S24’s screen is smaller and lower resolution, but it’s also easier on the battery and easier to drive for the GPU.

The real winner for me? Ergonomics again. The Pixel’s screen is great if you’re want high resulation. The S24’s screen is great if you’re actually using your phone for normal work

Winner: Pixel for quality. S24 for usability.

Battery and Charging
Pixel: 5200 mAh. 45W wired charging. 70% in 30 minutes.

S24: 4000 mAh. 25W wired charging. 50% in 30 minutes.

Raw numbers favor the Pixel. The reality is more complicated. The Pixel drains faster because of its powerfull screen and powerfull processor. The S24 sips power efficiently. They end up roughly similar for screen-on time.

The Pixel charges faster, but the S24 needs some top-up because it doesn’t drain as fast. Again, efficiency beats capacity.

Winner: Draw. Both have trade-offs.

Verdict: Which One Should You Actually Buy?
For hardcore gamers? Buy the S24. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 runs circles around the Tensor G5 in regular gaming
.

For content creators who need reliable multitasking? Buy the Pixel. 16GB RAM is a lifesaver. You can edit video, shoot footage, and switch apps without losing your workflow.

For social media power-users? This is tough. The Pixel’s multitasking is superior. But the S24’s smaller size makes it easier to shoot handheld video. And Samsung’s native HDR Quality with Instagram and Snapchat means your uploads actually look Good.

For anyone with normal-sized hands? Buy the S24. The Pixel is a two-handed device.

My final verdict? The Galaxy S24 is the better phone for most people. It’s lighter, more comfortable, and the gaming performance is Good. The Pixel 10 Pro XL is a multitasking beast with a great camera, but the size kills it for everyday use.

Google built a visionary device. Samsung built a practical one.

I’d buy the S24. I’d recommend the S24. And I’d spend that ₨.20,000 on a good pair of earbuds.
