OnePlus 13 – Okay Look

So bro.

I don’t even know why I’m writing this. But you asked. So here we go.

OnePlus 13.

What even is this phone.

Like seriously.

I remember when OnePlus first came out. My cousin got the OnePlus One. He needed an invite to buy it. An INVITE. Like it was a club. Like bro let me in please I want to give you money. That was crazy.

Now anyone can buy OnePlus. From Amazon. From the store. Whatever. The magic is gone a little bit. But the phones are still… okay.

OnePlus 13 Specs and Details

The OnePlus 13 though.

Hmm.

Let me think.

I saw a video the other day. Some guy on YouTube. He was like “this is the best phone of the year” and the comments were like “no it’s not” and he was like “yes it is” and they were like “no” and then I closed the video because I got tired.

But that’s every phone now. Everyone says everything is the best. Nothing is the best. Everything is just different.

The OnePlus 13 has this camera bump in the middle. You seen it right? Like a little circle thing. Not in the corner like normal phones. In the middle. First time I saw it I laughed. I said “what is that.” But then I saw it more and more and now I don’t know. It’s kinda cool? Maybe? I’m still not sure.

My friend has the OnePlus 12. He said the 13 is not that different. Same same but different. Same shape. Same feel. Same everything. Just a little better camera and a little better battery. That’s phones now. No big jumps anymore. Just small steps.

The battery is 6000 mAh. That’s actually pretty good. Like you won’t cry at 3pm because your phone is dead. You’ll be fine. You’ll get home. You’ll still have juice. That’s nice.

And charging is fast. Like stupid fast. You know what I mean? You plug it in. You blink. It’s done. Not literally but close.

The screen is big and bright. Curved edges. Some people hate curves. I don’t hate them. I don’t love them. They’re just there. Like a ceiling fan. You don’t think about it until it stops working.

The chip is fast. Whatever. All chips are fast now. You could give me a phone from 3 years ago and I probably wouldn’t know the difference. Unless I’m playing some super heavy game and counting frames like a nerd.

Cameras are good. Hasselblad is back. Colors look nice. Not fake. Not too real. Somewhere in the middle. Like Goldilocks but for photos.

Low light is okay. Not Pixel level. But okay. You can take a picture of the moon and it looks like a circle. That’s good enough for me.

The software is clean. No ads. No bloatware. Just phone stuff. I like that. I hate when you buy a phone and it comes with 15 games you never asked for. OnePlus doesn’t do that. Respect.

But.

And this is a big but.

The alert slider is gone.

BRO.

WHY.

That was their thing. That little switch. Silent. Vibrate. Ring. Flip it with your thumb without looking. Everyone loved that. Everyone.

And they just… took it away.

Why.

No one knows.

Someone at OnePlus woke up one day and said “you know what would be funny? If we made everyone angry” and everyone else said “haha yeah do it” and they did it.
